Medical fridge temperatures are regulated and controlled to ensure that drugs are stored safely at the correct temperature according to manufacturers’ recommendations. The NHS Green Book 2013 requires your medical fridge to store medicines/vaccines at a temperature of between +2 °c to +8°c degrees. Part of Public Health England’s 2014 document for ‘Storing and Handling Vaccines’ states that ‘yearly servicing and calibration of temperature gauges’ is performed.  Over time measuring instruments can drift resulting in the accuracy of the equipment falling outside acceptable levels. Hence the requirement for medical fridges to be calibrated annually.

• Your equipment will be inspected for the correct settings and functionality of controls and any visible damage or malfunction of the cabinet or internal controls.
• UKAS Accredited Calibrations will be performed according to our standard approved methods, using equipment calibrated to UKAS Standards.
